1. " task manager" overall

        The manager provide just related information of the applications and processes on your system, and also, it shows the unit of the common character.

        Use the manager can be used as the key indicator of the system performance.It can query the desktop procedure information running on system, and terminate the program that have already failed to respond.Can also use to amount to much 26 parameters to evaluate the activity of running processes, provide us data and image that reflecting usage of CPU and memory.

        In addition, if network is connected, then we can query network status, acknowledge the network situation.

        If there are several customers linking to your system, you can see who are connecting, what they are doing, and can also sending messages to them.

        For detailed information, please choose the list item below:

1.1 Running applications
1.2 Running processes
1.3 Performance measure unit
1.4 Showing network performance
1.5 monitor communications

1.1 Running applications

        " Application" options card shows the current status of applictions running on system. As figure 1 shows.

figure 1

        In this options card, you can stop or start mission of start.Such as the figure 2.

Figure 2

1.2 Running processes

    " Progress" options card display processes running on system.Such as the figure 3.

Figure 3

    For example, you can get CPU and memory usage, page fault, handler count and many other parameters information.

    Parameters to display can be customized according to the demand:

1.3 Performance measure unit

"Perfomance" option card indicates the dynamic state of system performance, such as the figure 4 shows.Among them include:

a) the CPU and memories usage chart.
b) The gross of handler, threads, processes running on system.
c) The gross of phisical, kernel and approved memory( KB) .

figure 4

1.4 Showing network performance

        The sketch of" network" options card manifests network performance. It provided a simple indicator to show current situation. Only When the net card exist, " network" options card can be visible.

        On the options' card, can look into the quantity of the network conjunction and using ability, regardless it is linked to a single network or several networks.

1.5 monitor conversations

        " User" options card lists users that have rights to visit the computer, the name and stats of the conversation." Client name" specifies the name of client who are using this conversation.( if exists)" Conversation" provides a name for you to carry out such as send out the news toward another customer, or link this mission to another customer.

2. Change the display options within the manager

        Single click display choice option card. Single click:

a)" application" options card, can look into the detailed information, icon.
b) " Process" options card, can choose the rows that want to show.
c) " Performance" options card, can change the CPU usage record curve diagram and show kernel time.
d) " Network" options card, can aquire the information of the relevant network connection.

        Single click the order you need in "look up" menu.

* Notes:

        To show kernel time in order to show the red line in " CPU usage" and" CPU The usage record" curve diagram, please single click "Performance" options card. Single click "show kernel time" on "look up" menu.Red line indicates the kernel operation take up percent of CPU resources.

3. Refresh the data of manager

* Notes
a) To change the frequency that data automatically renew, please direct to "renewal speed" on "look up" the menu, then click the according option. Such as the figure 5;
     Severals of renew option may be: High= one time each two seconds;Normal= one time each five seconds;Low= e one time each ten seconds;Pause= The data will not renew automatically.

figure 5

b) To temporarily freeze the data in manager, please direct to" refresh speed" in"look up" menu, then choose" pause".
c) The data will automatically refresh every two seconds by default.

4. Use application

4.1 start new application

        Single click" New application" in the " application" options card. Such as the figure 6.

figure 6

        Input command line of application you want excute, then click "assurance".

* Notes
        " Alt+ F2" acc key equals to " new application".

4.2 use manager to terminate process

        On" application" options card, single cick the application you want to terminate, then single click "kill task".

*Notes
        All data changed and unsaved in this application will be lost .

5. Use the processes

5.1 row headline of processes counter

        On" processes" options card, can use the following counter to moniter running processes , these counters can show as headline. If you want to show a certain process as the row headline, single click " choice row" on "look up" menu. Choose the according check box we want to show. Such as the figure 7.

5.2 Sorting the process list

        On" processes" options card, single click the row headline that you want to sort accordingly.

5.3 use manager to terminate process

        On " processes" options card, single click the processes to be killed, then click "kill task".

* important point:
        Terminate process should be careful. If kill the process, you will lose all data that have not saved yet. If ending system services, some parts of system may not work normally.

*Notes:
        There is a lot of processes are created by certain father processes, and maybe it includes some sub-processes too. Kill these processes, its sub- processes will disappear or die." The tree display" frame on the bottom displayed the processes and their sub-processes' relationships nicely.

6. Keep watch on the system, the network connection and users

6.1 Performance overall

        " Performance" options card gives a general description on system performance.Detailed information, please click one of following options:

6.1.1 CPU usage
6.1.2 CPU usage record
6.1.3 overall
6.1.4 excutive memory( M)s
6.1.5 physical memory( M)s
6.1.6 swap space( M)

6.1.1 CPU usage

        Display the chart of the processor work time percentage.It is the main indicator of the processor activity.Look into that chart can know how much processing time it use at present. If your system looks slow, that chart will show a higher percentage.

* Notes
        If more than 1 CPU exists, it will show a everage CPU use time .We can get a certain CPU load status by click " the CPU record" from " look up" option card.

figure 8

the 6.1.2 CPU usage record

        Show the CPU usage degree by the variety of time. Sample value is decided by "Renewal speed" on " look up " menu.

Figure 9

Figure 10

6.1.3 General

        Opening files number, threads number and process number running on system.

6.1.4 Excutive memory( M)s

        memory assigned to the the processes and operating system.Because of the existence of the memory( be called the virtual memory) copy to the page files," the memory usage record" can exceed the biggest physics memory value.The value of the " total amount" stands for the physics memory of the system.

6.1.5 physical memory( M)s

        The total physical memory installed on board , also be called RAM." Avilable number" means the quantity of the memory that can be provided." System cache" stands for the physics memory used to reflect the opening file pages.

6.1.6 Swap space( M)

        The Swap space infomation that operating system use . The " total amount" points out the total size of Swap space.

6.2 system performance

        Single click "Performance" options card.

* Notes
        " Performance" options card give us information concerning the system performance, such as CPU usage and memory usage.

6.3 networks overall

        " Network" options card indicates the native system network connection status. We can quickly know the network bandwidth consumption just now. When several networks are connecting, information of each conjunction can be abtained respectively.

        If you have several net cards on board , then the chart will provide the choice to look into each network status of net card .

        For all showing in allly connect the oscular network correspondence quantity chart it is thus clear that lines, see the diagram and will carry on zoom automatically, to enlarge to correspond by letter the quantity with it is thus clear that the relation of the bandwidth sees the diagram.Thus, under the condition of corresponding by letter the quantity lowly, chart of whole high can mean only to can use the bandwidth of 0.01%.When the correspondence quantity is is high in that Class, zoom the degree and will let up, in order to with enlarge the current correspondence quantity of the rate manifestation to see the diagram lowerly( for example, show total can use the bandwidth of 10%).The percentage of manifestation is more big on the chart, the correspondence quantity( opposite in can use the bandwidth) enlarges the rate more small.Zoom the coefficient shows at the chart up.

        In addition, can also change to show at the row headline in chart.These headline as follows say.

Network Adapter Name
RX Bytes
RX Packets
RX Errors
RX Drop
RX FIFO
RX Frame Errors
RX Compressed Packets
RX Multicast Packets
TX FIFO
TX Collisions
TX Carrier Errors
